The Wyndham Arms Hotel is situated in the picturesque, quintessentially old English village of Clearwell. The main hotel building dates back to the 13th century when it was a manor house.Over the years facilities have been added to make a fine hotel boasting oak beams, open fires and a welcoming ambiance.The village is to be found in a gentle valley at the edge of the 27,000 acre Royal Forest of Dean and The Wye Valley. In every direction you will discover unspoilt woods and tumbling rivers.In warmer weather there is outdoor seating and in cooler climes there is a log fire to warm you after a day's walking.Local beer, cider and country wines accompany the fresh, local and seasonal produce are used to create regularly changing menus: described by Paddy Burt of 'Room Service' in The Daily Telegraph as '.....great stuff....'All of the rooms are ensuite and include family rooms, doubles, twins and singles. In the main hotel there is a large oak beamed suite with a curtain draped double bed and a huge lounge. There is also two romantic four poster bedrooms.Please see our website for further details.

There are two four poster rooms and one drapped. These rooms are on the first floor of the hotel up a flight of stairs. One of the four poster rooms has a small bathroom but has a whirlpool bath.

Cancellation Policy
A credit card is required to secure your reservation at The Wyndham Arms Hotel. There will be no cancellation charge if a booking is cancelled before For non business guests a non returnable deposit of £30 per room per night is required. If the reservation is cancelled and we are unable to re-let the room then a further amount is charged to make a total of 85% of the room rate. We strongly reccommend that holiday cancellation insurance is taken out.. If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case of a no-show, Custom.

Transport

From the south and east- Take M4 towards Wales. At Junction 21 turn onto M48 for Chepstow. Go over bridge (£5.10 for cars) and turn off at Junction 2 signed M48 Chepstow.At the roundabout take A48 in the direction of Gloucester. Follow this road over the old bridge and take the B4228 to Coleford and The Forest of Dean. Follow this road for about 10 miles throught St Briavels and some 2 miles further on Clearwell is signposted on your left. The hotel is by the cross as you come down the hill.From the Midlands-Take the M5 south at Junction 8. Take M50 to Ross-on-Wye and carry on A40 to Monmouth. From Monmouth take A466 for Chepstow. After 3 miles turn left at Redbrook on B4231. Go through Newland and Clearwell is 2 miles further on. The hotel is on the right by the cross.From Glouester-Take A48 south towards Chepstow and after about 12 miles turn right to Lydney. Turn right (opposite Tesco) on to B4231 to Coleford. Two miles after Bream turn right at the T junction and then first left to Clearwell. The hotel is by the Cross as you come down the hill.From the west-Take M4 twards Severn Bridge. At junction 23 turn off onto M48 to Chepstow. At the roundabout take A48 in the direction of Gloucester. Follow this road over the old bridge and take the B4228 to Coleford and The Forest of Dean.
