West Vale Country Guest House is an elegant traditional Lakeland stone built house of considerable character and charm, built in the 1890’s as a Victorian gentleman’s residence. The villages of Near & Far Sawrey are well known for their association with Beatrix Potter whose house “Hilltop” is only a few minutes walk away. West Vale is nestled deep in the heart of the Lake District National Park in the beautiful village of Far Sawrey which is only a short walk away from Lake Windermere and Esthwaite water. The stunning location overlooks Grizedale Forest and The Old Man of Coniston. The surrounding area is a pot pourri of cultural, historic and architectural interest along with the historical village of Hawkshead nearby. All rooms are en-suite bar one with tea/coffee welcome trays, colour television, hairdryers, bathrobes, Moulton Brown toiletries and a decanter of sherry to complement your arrival. Free WiFi is accessable in most rooms. The Junior Suites and Deluxe rooms also have fresh fruit and complimentary slippers. One Junior Suite comprises a Superior Double en-suite with an adjoining lounge which has two diital flat screen TV's and a DVD/CD player. The second Junior Suite has a sitting area with digital flat screen TV, DVD/CD player & enjoying double aspect views.
