This 17th Century coaching inn has a wealth of charm and character, enhanced by original features including beamed ceilings, stone floors and exposed walls plus three open fires and traditional furniture. The public bar has a good range of cask ales and has just been entered into the good beer guide, while the comfortable lounge bar, snug and restaurant offers a relaxed and informal atmosphere.We have 4 real ales that are Camra recommended. Guests can dine in the bar or in our al a carte restaurant. We have an extensive choice of traditional dishes and a £5.95 daily specials board. The Function room can be booked for private functions - weddings, christenings, parties and meetings. The eight well-equipped bedrooms, six are ensuite and two have shared bathrooms are located on the first two floor. Two of the room have a linking door to make a family suite. Weekend breaks are also available. The Swan is situated at the top of the town and stands next to the Town Hall, close to the “chippings” free public car park.
