A superb country house hotel set in 6 acres of beautiful garden and overlooking the breathtaking Lake Windermere and the fells beyond. Lindeth Howe is the perfect antidote to a hectic modern life. The house was previously owned by best loved children's author Beatrix Potter and you can still feel her presence today. Lindeth Howe invites guests to sample 2 AA Rosette food, serving lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. Guests can also relax by the indoor pool, sauna, fitness room and indulge themselves in various body therapy massages. Our bedrooms are elegantly furnished and some with fabulous lake views. Wi-Fi is also accessible throughout the hotel. A member of Classic British Hotels. *PLEASE NOTE* Lindeth Howe Hotel have some scaffolding going up for a couple of weeks from the 8th August. The work will only be affecting the Garden side of the hotel and will only affect a few rooms. No Lake View rooms will be affected.

Lindeth Howe is approximately 20 minutes drive from the M6 motorway and one mile south of the village of Bowness on Windermere. Leave the motorway at junction 36 and proceed along the A591 dual carriageway for 8 miles, turning left at the roundabout onto the B5284 signed to Hawkshead/Ferry and Crook. After 7 miles, the road crosses the Lyth Valley road (A5074) onto Longtail Hill. Lindeth Howe is clearly signposted on the left just 150 metres down Longtail Hill. The nearest local train station and National Express Coach stop is Windermere and main West Coast Line station is Oxenholme, the Lake District. The nearest airport is Manchester. |
