Why not stay at the hotel which our customers have described as having 'The Best View In The Bay' Step back in time and relax in our traditional Scottish family run hotel. The Donn family welcomes you to their home and small family hotel. The rooms are cosy and individually decorated in a traditional style in keeping with the 100 year old building. Rooms to the front have magnificent views over Oban bay. Golf, fishing, horse-riding, sailing and swimming are all available within a short distance. Please note lat we have listed as a guest house as we operate on a bed and breakfast and room only basis and room sizes can vary. Please note that as the hotel has a pets welcome policy it may not be suitable for people with pet allergies. There is a central feature staircase in the hotel (and no lift), however the lowest bedrooms are on the second floor. As a small family run hotel we hope that your stay with us will feel more like a home from home rather than just a hotel as it has been our home for 29 years. Please provide an approximate time of arrival to avoid delays at check in. Standard check-in time is between 3pm and 9:30pm. Arrivals outwith these times are by arrangement only.

Cancellation Policy
A credit card is required to secure your reservation at The Palace Hotel. There will be no cancellation charge if a booking is cancelled before Full payment is taken at time of booking and includes a non refundable deposit to the full value of the first night. If cancelled 2 days or less before arrival date full amount remains payable Credit cards are accepted subject to a 4% surchage and a minimum surcharge fee of £6 no surcharge for delta/ uk issued debit cards. Maximum 1 pet per room £25surcharge per pet. Bookings and modifications are subject to our full terms and conditions a copy of which is available upon request. E&O.. If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case of a no-show, Custom.

Transport  
The hotel Is located on Obans main street "George Street" and is overlooking the bay within a couple of minutes walk to the train station and ferry terminal which are opposite the hotel. Tweedale Street pay and display carpark is behind the hotel. There is no private parking at the hotel. On street parking is chargeable between 9am and 6pm Monday to Saturday and currently cost 70p for 40 minutes with a maximum stay of 2 hours during this period, there are no charges or time limited between 6pm and 9am. Directly behind the hotel there is a council owned carpark that charges 70p per hour between 9am and 6pm daily with no time restictions and is open 24 hours. There is a car park at each end of town that does not charge which is more suitable for customers leaving there cars for a number of days.
