The Museum of London generally depicts the entire history of London, including the present times. The museum exhibits a visual representation of documents, artifacts and other historic articles pertaining to the rich history, culture and tradition of London. The Museum of London is an educational abode suitable for all ages where most educational trips are held. This museum was originally located at Kensington Palace at the year 1975. At present the Museum of London is ideally located near the Barbican Center and the St. Paul Cathedral.
The Museum of London houses a series of classified galleries containing ancient and some original artifacts, pictures and other collections from the ancient eras of London. Other articles were preserved and protected in the museum especially some archeological discoveries. The highlight galleries include themed stalls entitled “ London before London,” “The Medieval London,” and “The Great Fire of London” which recently opened. Another site to behold is the remnants of the Roman London wall which can be vividly perceived outside the Museum of London.
The Museum of London, as stated earlier holds some important archeological archives recorded in the history. The Museum of London Archeology functions to render archeological services and studies. Many of the archeological findings are being preserved in the Museum of London which makes London more exquisitely educational, interesting, historic and more discoverable. But at present, the Museum of London is undergoing a major renovation and construction of galleries that are said to be completed in the year 2010. However, the Museum of London does not partake to an overall closure for other galleries.
